Fu Xi stood at the top of the palace, surveying the turnout. He had not expected so many people to show up, what with all the impending tumoil. He hoped he wasn't making anyone feel uneasy being armed as he was. He just felt naked without his Fangshen Sword at his back. He watched the servants bring out all the food at once. This was indeed a feast fit for a god.
He noticed Guan Ping sitting in the corner of the courtyard, studying some maps he had laid in front of him, deep in thought.
He looked over where the members of Wei were sitting, Cao Cao obviously in the vanguard position. Fu Xi knew all about Cao Cao, he had fought along side him during the Yellow Turban Rebellion. He knew the other Kingdoms would have a very difficult foe in him. Four other generals stood out. All seasoned veterans. The virtuous Ma Chao, the intelligent Sima Yi, the persistent Meng Huo, and the noble Zhang Liao. This was going to be a nearly unstoppable team to beat.
He looked outside of the palace walls. The members of Shu had finally arived. He was surprised to see Xiahou Dun leading the company. Last time he had seen Dun he was Cao Cao's right-hand man. Fu Xi knew Xiahou Dun did not have any real leadership experience, but he thought the battles to come would be the perfect test for him. There were many other officers he barely recognized. A woman he knew only vaguely to be Yue Ying. A taciturn man who he knew as Zhou Tai, the infamous Lu Bu(had to do it), and a young, sinister-looking man he had never seen before. As he watched them pass through the entryway he turned to look back at the courtyard where the banquet was taking place. As the sinister man caught a glimpse of Cao Cao he noticed the dirty looks they both gave each other. Could this sinister-looking man be Cao Pi?
He was roused from behind when he heard marching. Wu had arrived. The Wu army was few in number, but they were an extremely formidable force. He noticed something odd about the formation is which they marched. There was no vanguard. They apparently hadn't decided on a leader. Zhou Yu, Gan Ning, and Zhang He, all suitable leaders. But apparently none had wanted the position.
Fu Xi went down to the courtyard. He stood at the head of the banquet table and lifted his hand. There was immediate silence.
"I want to thank you all for coming to my banquet. It is not only a celebration for my coronation, but it is also a memorial for Emporer Xian. May he rest in peace. Now, let us not waste these final days of peace. A toast! To the hometowns (heh, wrong game). TO VICTORY!!!" He then downed the whole goblet of wine in one gulp. Then he sat in his chair and sat back to see what would happen next.

The Jian Bei was now arriving on their famous cavalry that they took heavy pride in. They were infamous for having strictly pure bred horses and tamed to the best of their tamers abilities they had often traveledthe land offering their abilites for the highest payer.
And with each passing job their reputation icreased with their plots and their money. Lord Guan Ping was accompanied by both shock and Sun Jian, both great warriors and intelligent strategists.
Behind on the most powerful of steed and the greatest of warriors another figure followed... the Emperor could not tell his name for he was cloaked.
Their escort approached their gates pounding the ground with the cavalry, Guan Ping approached with the uknown man. "Sentry open the gate!" the great gates of the capital opened quickly to let them all in.
"Emperor," he said as he came up the man in lavish yellow robes on a throne, "I Guan Ping of the Jian Bei bring you many loyal followers. I, the most of all. I would like to congragulate you on your appointment as Emperor." he bowed deeply and examined the surrounding armies.
"Also I also grieve for the fallen Emperor. But I believe that your abilities are great, and the things you have done for the country are great already. I thank you for that and the tolerance of me. I am honored to be allowed into not only your country but your presene. I honor you my lord!"
Guan Ping pulled from the cloaked man a grand golden sword modeling his Flying Dragon. "This is the greatest treasure I own, that and 400 gold I give to you today. I am sorry I dont have more money."
Cao Cao desired to eat with his man, and nothing stopped him from accomplishing his desire. It will probably take a while before Cao Cao will be able to have such as good meal, so he didn't want to loose the opportunity.
When he was done, he gave his excuses to his men and walked toward Fu Xi.
Cao Cao totally forgot totally about the formalities, he approached Fu Xi as a friend. The guards around him seemed very uneasy, so he had to be careful not to do any moves that would seem agressive.
"Greetings, old friend! Even when I was amazed by your leadership during our younger days, but never would have I imagined that you would get this far! I was surprised but also glad when I heard the report of the succession. May you succeed greatly."

Fu Xi fought hard not to laugh. That was Guan Ping, always anxious to get down to business.
"Guan Ping, I appreciate the offer, but I have two problems here. First of all, now is not the time to try to win my favor. Now is the time to feast and enjoy ourselves, business will come later. Second., I already have enough money and I prefer my Fengshen sword. You keep your worldly posessions. Now go and enjoy yourself at the banquet. This will probably be the last time this opportunity presents itself in a long time." He watched Guan Ping and the cloaked figure walk away and watched as Cao Cao approached.
Lu Bu eyes were saddened this day, he was lost in thought when he arrived at the banquet. He had a large decision to make, how could he explain leaving Shu? He shook the idea from his head, then approached the new Emperor. He looked over the Imperial Guards then grunted at them to step aside.
"So, I finally get to meet the God, Fu Xi." he looked directly into the new Emperors eyes and said, "From a demon to a God, I hope you will be able to handle all your new responsibilities but if the legends of your greatness are true, then you have nothing to fear."
He was about to make an obiesance when he noticed Cao Cao in very high spirits next to the Emperor. He raised an eyebrow then turned back to Fu Xi to make his obiesance and be on his way. "Time to drink away my sorrows." thought Lu Bu.

Cao Cao bowed to the Emperor.
Fu Xi motioned for his guards to settle down.
Fu Xi smiled at Cao Cao's demeanor. He had known from the start that he would not bother with formalities. He admired that in Cao Cao. He recognized strength in others and always treated his equals as just that, equals. He stood and motioned for Cao Cao to rise and clasped his hand in his own.
"Well met, good friend. I thank you for your kind words. The days ahead will be difficult. Perhaps there is something I can do. I shall send an envoy when you return home. But enough of this talk, this will undoubtedly be the last time everyone is together in peace. Let us enjoy ourselves."
Fu Xi then sat down and had some dim sum, waiting to see if anyone else would approach.

"Lu Bu, I recieved the official notice, I have drawn up the writs for you to safely make the transfer. But that is the easy part, the hard part will be telling the members of Shu who are counting on you. I will not hold it against you, but then again, I am very forgiving. I have drawn a jug of wine for you. I is waiting at your seat, I know this is not easy for you, but remember to pace yourself. It would be a shame to lose the great Lu Bu to alcohol."
He smiled and clasped Lu Bu's hand in both of his own. Then he released it and handed him the official papers.
Jiang Wei was roused from his rather good dream by a retainer who was standing by his bed.
"Mrfgl?"
"Well, sorry to disturb you, but the rest of the rest of your comrades left for the grand banquet hours ago! You are already late as it is, please sir, you must get up!"
This piqued Jiang Wei's attention. "WHAT?! Why didn't you notify me sooner? When I get back remind me to have you executed, such inteptidue has no place in shu if we are to succeed in our grand ambitions!"
The retainer turned pale with fear, he obviously thought he had alot to live for, but Jiang Wei did not notice, he was too busy getting prepared and rushing to the stables to pick out a fine looking horse to rush to the banquet. He picked out a fine looking steed, mounted it, and kicked it into motion.
"Fly with divine wind at your tail, I have no time to lose, lest I offend our host!"
Some time later Jiang Wei arrived at the banquet to find it already in full effect. Not wasting any time he rushed forward to the Emperor, presented himself on his knee's and declared:
"I, Jiang Wei of Tian Shui, humbly apolagize to your lordship for my absence until this point, it shall not happen again, I assure you!"

Fu Xi glared at Jiang Wei.
"You dare to show up late to my banquet? Fu Xi stood up and drew his sword. "This is a crime worthy of punishement most high."
He looked at Jiang Wei, stoic as always. Then he put his sword away and sat back down. "Rise Jiang Wei, an emperor must be able to have a sense of humor, too, you see. It is completely understandable. In all truthfullness I had not expected half as many people to show up to this banquet as did." Fu Xi reached for an empty goblet and filled it with Fortified Musou Wine. He handed it to Jiang Wei. Then he poured some in his own goblet. "You missed my earlier toast so let us drink. To victory." He lifted the goblet to his lips and drank. He loved the way Musou Wine felt going down. Almost as if making him a bit stronger every time he drank. He looked back up at Jiang Wei. He knew Jiang Wei to be a rational man for the most part, but under extreme circumstances took his anger out on others. "If you really want to make it up to me, do not take this mishap out on any of your servants. Real men must take responsibility for their own actions."
"Of course, Emperor, I admit in my hurried state earlier I had taken out some of my anger at my situation on a retainer, but reflection upon the matter puts no blame on him, I shall take the necessary actions to see to it that he is acquitted of all erroneous charges set upon him."
Jiang Wei drank deeply from the gobblet, bowed to Emperor Fu Xi and went to join his fellow shu officers.

Guan Ping was pleased that the Emperor shared such good words for him, but somewhat disheartened he would not accept the truest prize he had of loyalty to offer, other than his very own service.
He noticed Lu Bu chugging wine at his seat, but it was away from the seat of both Jian Bei and Shu, perhaps the man was more torn than he thought hed be. He rose from his table and strode to his side.
A clasp of his hand on his shoulder startled the near drunken demon, Ping thought hed spill every drop of the wine in his mouth. "Lu Bu I am grateful that you return your loyalty by honoring our friendship. The land will return to chaos, the last Emperor avoided it. But this one will not, your helberd will roar under the heavens under the banner of our Jian Bei." Ping laughed heartily and crouched on his knee next to him.
"My lord demon. You are my grand general and my head bodyguard. That is your place with me! May I ask you what you were honored with in Shu? If you do not wish to make this departure thaen dont, I understand it is difficult. As it is for me to look toward Wu... but I am over for the sake of ambition and peace. Perhaps you should be over it for the sake of obligation and friendship."
From the shadows , Cao Pi watched as his father walked up to the Emperor to greet him. Cao Pi did not follow behind Cao Cao due to several misunderstandings between them , the major one being Cao Pi's sudden pledge of loyalty to the Kingdom of Shu. It wouldnt do to spoil the mood of the banquet by arguing about it now with his father.
Cao Pi patiently waited for Cao Cao to finish exchanging greetings with the Emperor. When he saw that Cao Cao has gone back to his men , Cao Pi walked to the Emperor to offer his greetings.
" Long live the emperor!! " , said Cao Pi , bowing down in respect. " My lord , you might have not recognized me earlier before. I am Cao Pi , son of Cao Cao..... I have changed my appearances because I got annoyed of having the same look as the other minor generals under my father's command. Anyway , my lord , congratulations on your appointment as Emperor ". Saying that , Cao Pi raised his wine goblet.

"Yes, Cao Pi, I thought perhaps it was you. I noticed the cold stares from your father. No matter. You will soon have a chance to cross swords and see who is the greater Cao. You have ammused me with your somewhat successful attempt at a joke. I will be sending an envoy to Shu when everyone returns home."
" Thank you , my lord. I am glad that my attempt at humor managed to amuse you. I shall take my leave now". Bowing again , Cao Pi returned to his table.
Xiahou Dun was watching the emperors moves from afar whilst he sipped his wine. The new emperor was a fine man and seemed very respectful and as the ruler of Shu he would need to get to know the emperor.
"I grow tired of this" Xiahou Dun said to himself
Standing up he turned to find someone to converse with to keep him interested. Xiahou Dun brushed his scimitar with his fingers as he walked.
Jiang Wei noticed his leader, the great Xiahou Dun, caressing his mighty weapon absent-mindedly.
Jiang Wei walked up to his commander and placed his hand on his shoulder. "What seems to be bothering you my lord. You seem distant. Can you not take your mind of the comming chaos, or do your surrounding simply not match your tastes?"
Servant: Master Sun Ce, were you not to be leaving for the Emperor's Banquet hours ago? The leader of Shu has already left, as did everybody else. May I suggest you do the same thing, sir?
Sun Ce: Don't worry. I'm ready. Just let me get my boots on. Oh, and can you do me a favor and prepare my weapons and steed.
Sun Ce continues placing his feet inside his boots, as the servant walks out to the stables, readying Sun Ce's stallion. Ce walks out, all ready. The servant leads the horse towards his master, and leaves. Ce hops on, and checks for everything to be in place before riding off
***...A lot later in the Banquet?***
All guests are enjoying themselves. The Emperor surveys the area, but the Banquet is rudely interrupted as the door loudly creaks open. Sun Ce enters the palace, looking as though nothing has happened. He notknowingly approaches the emperor.
Sun Ce: Hey, sorry for the lateness. My servant isn't the best at telling time.
Sun Ce suddenly realizes that he's speaking to Fu Xi, the new Emperor. He quickly catches himself and straightens himself before bowing his head, and getting on one knee.
Sun Ce: My lord, please forgive me for being late. I'm sure it won't happen again. I am Sun Ce, warrior of Shu. It is an honor to meet you, my lord.

"Tardiness is forgivable Sun Ce. This is the first chance I have had to meet you. I am expecting great results from 'The Little Conquerer'. Now feel free to dine. I believe your father is here somewhere, although I have yet to speak with him today. Whatever your differences, they must be used as fuel for the battles ahead. Now take a seat and I will have my servents send you some food."
Fu Xi sat back and watched him walk away and take a seat. He then watched his servants bring Sun Ce some Dim Sum and a leg of Roasted Chicken. He inwardly wondered if anyone realized that he was inciting this war. Sure, Emporer Xian wished to avoid conflict, but Fu Xi was not comfortable in any time except war time. He then wondered if what he was doing was immoral. He dismissed the thought immediately and considered putting his skills to hire.
Guan Ping was pleased that the Emperor shared such good words for him, but somewhat disheartened he would not accept the truest prize he had of loyalty to offer, other than his very own service.

Lu Bu gazed at Guan Ping hazey eyed and red faced from the wine. "Lu Bu is no traitor," he said too loudly "I have made the decision already, and I will stand by it!" Now riled up he offered a drink to Guan Ping, which led to a little competition later on.
Still in the drunken state that he was in he saw two members of Shu arrive late, which infuriated him... but thankfully he came to his senses and remembered he was no longer in Shu, which did not help his drinking. Soon he would be off with some wenches and then time for some well needed rest.
To this the ruler of Shu turned facing Jiang Wei and replied "I just grew tired of eating and longed for some social interaction with the other generals"
Xiahou Dun wraped his arm around Jiang Wei's shoulders and motioned him to walk saying, "The coming chaos does make me feel uneasy but I believe Shu will do just fine. I expect great things of you in these times to come"
(note: my rp name will be Xing Cai now so just pretend that every Xiahou Dun was replaced with Xing Cai)
Wu arrived in formation, and stayed back while the officers of Shu and Wei crowded around the banquet tables. Zhou Yu had his men stay back for the moment, and he silently chatted with a bodyguard by his side. Once the rest of the crowd had settled, Zhou Yu dismissed the squads of the Wu army that came in his officers.
The force sat unified, not in groups. Politicians sat with soldiers, and Generals sat with taskmen. Zhou Yu sat at a table full of soldiers and they all began to feast and chat.
Zhou Yu glanced over at Fu Xi a few times, but felt there was nothing that he needed to say. The Wu army generally kept together like a large family throughout the feasting.
However, in order to keep his manners Zhou Yu ordered a soldier to deliver a message to Fu Xi which read,
"I wish to thank you for holding this magnificent banquet for the armies. It is truly a pleasure to be here."

Guan Ping laughed hard at his friend Lu Bu. Ping was never one to recognize rank and classes of man, if he liked them then that was that. They were his friend.
Ping liked everything about Lu Bu and the rest of his allies, they were all great in their own way, Lu Bu an open minded man who was bested by none in martial prowess. Shock was just as smart as he, they both had plans that were bascically the same exact thing. And dg was honest and powerful, he cared not what other people would think of his oten thoughtless statements.
Guan Ping approached the Wu table cautiously, he did not know how they would react to his leaving them. Especially now that Zhou Yu was now the new leader, not Ding Feng. He walked to the side of the table and smiled and bowed deeply toward Zhou Yu.
"I have not seen you in some time. Perhaps you would enjoy some wine with me? I do now want any ill feelings between me and the Wu force. Or any other. If you have to time, send me a pm or I will send an envoy to you. I have a very generous offer you may like very much."

He waited patiently.
*just saw this*
Zhou Yu silently rose his mug in a toast without contact, then took a sip.
"I thank you for your offer. I do not think we would be able to pay much though, we don't have much money at the moment."
